My name is Antonio Rollon and i am the host and creator of Rollon Food, my YouTube Channel dedicated to teaching you how to make some of the tastiest things on earth.
I was born in Manchester, like, quite a few years ago, to an English woman and a Espanish man. My full Name Is Antonio Jose Rollon. My very first home was actually the top floor of a pub in South Manchester, so you could say i was born in restaurants, Although my first job in one didn't arrive until i was sixteen years old.
My Father opened a restaurant in south west Florida. Named "Pepin's on the water". Pepin is name you give to an older Pepe, which is a name sometimes given to people called Jose because the name is so ubiquitous in Spain, and the restaurant was on peace river.
My duties were doubled from the very beginning, I was at times a bus boy and at others I would help out the pantry station. The pantry station is where most aspiring young cooks start their career. Duties included chopping and prepping vegetables, plating up desserts and salads etcetera. This dynamic would shape my entire professional life, making me gravitate towards to either the front or the back of house depending on which center would provide me with the most benefit. If the place I was at was particularly more rewarding cooking I would cook, and vice versa.
To this day I still seem to be walking that line. I go and make money in the evenings, selling steaks and wine in a steak house, and come home to cook food for my fledgling YouTube channel.
My channel is still taking shape. Pizza seems to be the thing I am most passionate about, but I think anything made from bread would be a better categorization. I am learning how to not be a stubborn creative, and letting my craft speak for itself and allowing it manifest however it wants to, so I will constantly grow, hopefully with you, my audience. Whoever you are, i hear you. you can communicate with me through my comments on the channel or within a forum here. I also plan to whip my discord into shape and eventual channel members can interact with me more immediately there.
My plans for the future are very grand indeed and most of my endgame will not be shared until it is ready, but for the time being it is safe to say that growing the YouTube channel is at the top of short term goal lists. There is a cookbook brewing in my head, and I will be using this site here to post some of my adventures in still photography, so look out for some extremely high resolution food porn once I get a hang for my new stills camera.
This website will also serve as a place to post recipes from videos, as well some that don't warrant a video but might be useful anyways. Who knows, maybe I will get a burning yearning to blog about food in and around Atlanta, the city in which I live; or about food from the places where I visit!
THIS SITE WILL BE A WIP FOR QUITE SOME TIME AS I AM THE ONLY PERSON WORKING ON THE MANY PROJECTS I HAVE STARTED, ALL FEEDBACK WELCOMED!
